2023 Miss Mini Rodeo, Nevada Rohwedder

We are honored to introduce Miss Mini Rodeo, Nevada Rohwedder. Nevada was born and raised in Santa Maria, and she is currently a 5th grade student at Alice Shaw Elementary. Nevada is a competitive gymnast and active equestrian. She was riding horses before she could walk and began competing at the age of 4. Nevada is excited to be Miss Mini Rodeo because horses and the western lifestyle are important in her personal life and family history. Last year, she volunteered with the Golden Circle of Champions and attended the rodeo each night to fill the boots with donations. Her favorite parts of the rodeo were watching the barrel racing and amazing trick-rider.

2023 Jr. Barrelman, Chael Silva

Chael Silva was born in Santa Maria and he is currently a student at Alice Shaw Elementary School. Chael enjoys spending time with his family. He is active in soccer, baseball, basketball, and jujitsu (although soccer is his favorite). Chael has been Student of the Month, top fundraiser for Bald 4 Lexi, and was named MVP for his soccer team. He wants to be the Elks Rodeo Jr. Barrelman because he likes to make people laugh, loves meeting new people, and wants to make a differnece in his community. Chael has attended the Elks Rodeo since he was born and was inspired to be the Jr. Barrelman after meeting the former Jr. Barrelman, Caleb.
