The Santa Maria Elks Rodeo is closely monitoring the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. As you are aware, we spent the last few weeks learning about this virus and how it is impacting our world. The progression of the virus is concerning and is causing significant disruption to our daily routine. We have seen major sporting events, conferences, schools, large social events and customary gatherings substantially limited in attendance or suspended entirely. We are mindful of this changing dynamic, and the strain of these unprecedented circumstances and times.
As a rodeo, we are taking steps to limit and mitigate the impact of the virus on our business, staff, volunteers and fans, therefore our Rodeo Office is closed for visitors but staff will be available through phone and email communications effective immediately through Thursday, September 12th. We will continue to work with local government agencies and follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines in protecting your health and safety.
The situation is evolving rapidly, and we are working hard to stay informed and will continue to be responsive with any updates that may have an effect on our schedule and programs. Visit our Facebook page for information updates. The health and well-being of your family and our community is our priority. Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate through this process.
