Santa Maria Elks Rodeo is proud to announce our 2020 Santa Maria Elks Rodeo Queen Faith DeBrum representing VTC Enterprises. While enduring a challenging year of fundraising, our Queen Candidates were focused on the mission of the campaign which is to raise funds for our local communities. Each Candidate’s campaign contributed to the overall total combined monies raised of $440,059.00 for this year, bringing our total contribution to our local communities to over $13.5 million since the commencement of the program.
Our Queen Candidates were publicly released through virtual platforms this year and like many, they were challenged with creativity to continue to be able to hold their events and functions within COVID-19 limitations. At the Queen Coronation, which took place on Friday, September 25th, we were able to celebrate the hard work of our three Queen Candidates. The Coronation of our 2020 Santa Maria Elks Rodeo Queen was different than previous years, however, the Candidates were celebrated on their success of the mission and goals of the Queen Campaigns.
We would like to thank each of our Queen Candidates for their perseverance and determination to raise funds that will be reinvested into youth programs in our community. Each Candidate was successful and made a difference. We would also like to say thank you to the sponsoring organizations that were able to guide and assist these young ladies in a community driven fundraiser.
Thank you to our Queen Candidates and supporting organizations, in no particular order, Sabrina Dana with NSBC United Way; Faith DeBrum with VTC Enterprises; and Anna Kuykendall with St. Joseph High School.
Plans are underway for the 77th Annual Santa Maria Elks Rodeo scheduled for June 3rd – 6th, 2021. We hope to see the community join together again and celebrate our enduring spirit. Our community is resilient and together we are able to overcome and support one another in challenging times. We hope to see you at the 2021 Santa Maria Elks Rodeo!
